When Giovanni di Francia (1466) painted the San Dordi's last supper,

he tried to show the best food offered locally but he did a mistake,

Jesus was Jewish and he followed the rules of Hebraism and also the

Apostles was Jewish, on the table there is painted prawns that was forbidden

according to the Kasher rules (כשר, means  appropriate).

The only fish granted has to be with fishbone and fish scale, others are forbidden;

for the wine, the wine yard should rest every 7 years, and the process

of making wine was followed and controlled by a Rabbi.

- At the end of  "The origin"  page you can read some new interesting documents, regarding the Peruzzetto's and the life during the Austro-Hungarian army invasion 1917-1918 The Piave's war (is in Italian).

- We updated the document related to the Vazzola's parish books since 1597

The oldest Peruzzetto we found is; Dominico born in Vazzola

"Adi (anno Domini) Set 15th., 1619 -  Dominico Peruzetti death around 72 got the Church sacraments and has been placed in a grave from myself  G.Rocco into the monument of the church" (note: until the 1796 was allowed to bury deaths inside Churches)

from a simple calculation  Dominico should be born around 1547.

To understand what happened in mid 1500:

 - from 1540 and 1573 the Venice Republic fight the Turkish; on October 7th, 1571 we had a mayor ship battle in Lepanto (next to Turkey) between the Christian fleet and the Turkish-Ottoman one.

The Ottoman fleet come out from the harbor forming a line of three miles.

The army so called "Lega Santa", sailing from Messina, consisted in 909 galee, 1805 guns, 28.000 soldiers, 12.920 marines e 43.500 paddlers.

After five hours the Turkish was defeat.

- on July 13th, 1577 in Venice begins the building of the "Chiesa del Redentore" (at Giudecca) to celebrate the end of  la the pestilence who begun in 1575, to make a comparison with some fact well known the pestilence described by Manzoni in the famous book "I promessi sposi" begins in 1630..

- on dec 13th,  1577 Sir Francis Drake  left Plymouth (England), is the second to circumnavigate the globe after  Magellano, he will be back on  sep  26th, 1580, nearly three years and some 36,000 miles.

- on April 1607 the first English colonist get off in the Chesapeake bay, today Virginia, to create a new world; United States, most of them will die between 1609 and 1610; in 1620 and 1630 the ship "Mayflowers" cross the Atlantic Ocean more than once to bring the Pilgrim Fathers to New Plymouth close to Boston (Massachusetts), to colonize North America..

- Henry the IIIrd, fourth children of  Henry the IInd and Caterina de Medici, reign  France

- in 1547 Henry VIIIvo, English King pass away; in 1531 Henry establish a state church with a definitive statement of faith, he will be on top of the Anglican church, in 1533 the English church stated the divorce with Caterina d'Aragona and formally recognize the marriage with Anna Bolena who gave him a son.

- in 1577 the "Concilio di Trento (1545-1563)" begin,  the Pope was Gregory XIIIth, one of the thing he innovate was the formal recording of all the events connected to the human Christian life, like baptism, marriage, death ...etc....

Thanks to him today we can document our ancestors.
