When
Giovanni di Francia (1466) painted the San Dordi's
last supper, he tried to
show the best food
offered locally but he did a mistake, Jesus was Jewish and he
followed the rules of Hebraism and also the
Apostles was Jewish, on the table there is painted
prawns that was forbidden according to the Kasher rules (כשר,
means appropriate). The only fish
granted has to be with fishbone and fish
scale, others are forbidden; for the wine, the
wine yard should rest every 7 years, and the process of
making wine was followed and controlled by a Rabbi. |

The 2007 reunion was held on Sunday May, 20th 2007 (see
pictures and other) -We discovered the first Peruzzetto who participate to the
"Gold rush", his name is Gaetano,
in the Custom record there is a mention to Luigi, Gaetano's cousins, but
we don't have other details.

The family tree has three branches; San Polo, Vazzola-Soffratta
and Peruzet.

oldest
Peruzzetto we found is;
Dominico born in Vazzola

"Adi
(anno Domini) Set 15th., 1619 -
Dominico
Peruzetti death around 72 got the Church
sacraments and has been placed in a grave from
myself G.Rocco into the monument of the
church" (note: until the 1796 was
allowed to bury deaths inside Churches)
from
a simple calculation Dominico should be
born around 1547.
To
understand what happened in mid 1500:

from 1540 and 1573 the Venice Republic fight the
Turkish; on October
7th, 1571
we had a
mayor ship battle in Lepanto (next to Turkey)
between the Christian
fleet and the Turkish-Ottoman one.
The
Ottoman fleet come out from the harbor forming a
line of three miles.
The
army so called "Lega
Santa", sailing from Messina, consisted in 909
galee, 1805 guns, 28.000 soldiers, 12.920 marines
e 43.500 paddlers.
After
five hours the Turkish was defeat.

on July 13th, 1577 in Venice begins the
building of the "Chiesa
del Redentore" (at Giudecca) to celebrate
the end of la the pestilence who begun in
1575, to make a comparison with some fact well
known the pestilence described by Manzoni in the
famous book "I promessi sposi" begins
in 1630..
- on dec 13th,
1577 Sir Francis Drake left Plymouth (England),
is the second to circumnavigate
the globe after Magellano, he will be back on
sep 26th, 1580, nearly three
years and some 36,000 miles.

(Massachusetts), to colonize North America..

in 1547 Henry VIIIvo, English King
pass away; in 1531 Henry establish a state
church with a definitive statement of faith, he
will be on top of the Anglican church, in 1533
the English church stated the divorce with
Caterina d'Aragona and formally recognize the
marriage with Anna Bolena who gave him a son.

in 1577 the "Concilio di Trento (1545-1563)"
begin, the Pope was Gregory XIIIth,
one of the thing he innovate was the formal recording
of all the events connected to the human Christian
life, like baptism, marriage, death ...etc....
